What People Say

Most Liked

Patrons rave about the generous portion sizes, often leaving with leftovers after a satisfying meal. The birria tacos consistently receive high praises, especially when paired with the rich and flavorful consomé. Many also highlight the wide selection of salsas and homemade corn tortillas, which add a special touch to the dining experience. The casual ambiance appeals to both solo diners and families, accommodating patrons of all ages. Additionally, the market section of the restaurant is a hidden gem, stocked with unique ingredients not readily available in other stores, enhancing the local shopping experience.

Most Disliked

Some visitors have noted that the service can experience slight delays during peak hours, particularly on Sundays when the restaurant reaches full capacity. Although the atmosphere is cozy, a few guests find the noise level can rise due to popularity, which may detract from a quieter dining experience. A handful of patrons have expressed a desire for more vegetarian options; even though there are vegetarian dishes available, expanding the selection may better serve all diners. Lastly, the busy hours can leave the staff feeling stretched, which might impact the overall service experience during lunchtime rushes.

I got birria tacos with rice and beans. It was delicious! The consume was thick and so full of flavor. I topped it off with a refreshing pineapple drink. My friend said the homemade corn tortillas were fabulous! Had to browse the store and wow so much good stuff in there! 5⭐️

We just came away eating the most delicious lunch ever. I ordered lunch fajitas and my husband had combo number 14, which is an enchilada, a burrito and the street taco all steak of course. The portions were huge and we are taking home half of our food. A great value and great service and great food. The salsa is delicious. They brought us five different sauces to put on our lunch as well.

Got here a little before they opened and still let us in to order. Very nice, kind, server, very attentive. What got me the most was the food. VERY good and Plates were well served. The kids plates could be enough for and adult . My 6 year old usually tries to finish all his food. We still had leftovers to take home

I've visited multiple Mexican restaurants in Cookeville and El Milagro has one of the best birria tacos. Their consomé is excellent. Also, very convenient market. We are able to find a lot of produce that you cant buy anywhere else like: platanos , zapote, certain cheeses and chorizos

El Milagro is simply unbeatable! The authentic flavors are out of this world – every bite is a revelation. But what truly sets this place apart is the incredible staff. They're genuinely friendly and always go above and beyond to make sure you have a fantastic time. Hands down, the best Mexican food and service around!

Came in early one morning for some breakfast. Had the veggie fajitas with a couple fried huevos. Great food. Great service. Great prices. The market was really cool. Had some interesting items that you don’t see everywhere. Had to get some of the cotel vampiro. Bought a bunch of seasonings as well. Cool selection of Mexican drinks, snacks, and candy.

This place was delicious! Not your typical run-of-the-mill Mexican. We stopped by driving through and I'm so glad we did. I really enjoyed their pastor sopes, the tamales and the nopales. Highly recommend, will return.
